[Fluxus] intense flickering

I've updated to the cvs version of fluxus.. I don't have a great graphics card
and I'm using the open source drivers [an older radeon] but I have used fluxus
for a while and never experienced the problems I'm experiencing now..
I have really major flicker problems, the text is flickering, if I draw a cube
it flickers..  something weird is happening..
has anyone else experienced this?
