I love doing stuff like this - we did a groworld installation in Ghent
where I was (trying to) livecode game prototypes while people were
playing them. The input device in this case was a dancemat, so people
were just wandering past and stepping on it to see what happened.

The problem in this case (and the advantage of using midi) was that
dancemats work as usb keyboards, so it wasn't really possible - I had to
keep an eye on the dancemat and hit ctrl-h before the code filled with
"aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" or the cursor started wildly moving around.
