unfortunately that's an older version, they changed version numbering i
think. instead of 411 they call it 4.1.1, so your package system thinks
371 (4.71) is a newer version than 4.1.1.

i use the plt 4.x rpm's and exclude reposity rpm's by putting the
exclude=plt-scheme
line in /etc/yum.conf

yes, it requires 4.1. and it seems to be fine in the package
requirements also. i just checked it by
