thats what I would have thought, but my brain seems to take perverse
pleasure in trying to make extremely improbable situation seem
probable. and here is an answer to both questions:

Last login: Tue Jul 15 17:21:17 on ttys000
c-67-161-210-254:~ dented42$ uname -a
Darwin c-67-161-210-254.hsd1.ut.comcast.net 9.4.0 Darwin Kernel
Version 9.4.0: Mon Jun 9 19:30:53 PDT 2008; root:xnu-1228.5.20~1/
RELEASE_I386 i386
c-67-161-210-254:~ dented42$ fluxus-0.15
Seg fault (internal error) at 0xbe4
Bus error
c-67-161-210-254:~ dented42$

the reason why I think it might be an architecture problem is that
when I manually but together a cocoa style application bundle, when I
try to open it, it says it is for the wrong architecture, but it is
probable that this is OS X mis-interpreting something.

yes, thanks.
