there seems to always be a small offset at the begining,  regardless of which
order i place the calls in, and minor drifts after 6 or 7 minutes (, but with
the correct buffer size, this is a comparitivly minor concern)

im assuming the funciton calls happen in the same frame, as im calling them both
before the every-frame loop.
