For your enjoyment; a "video-flyer" done largely in Fluxus (with Rob
Bothof Using a more traditional program piecing it together).

Features the return of the dancing robots I was using as a livecoding
routine before. Also briefly features Fluxa sound as the musical intro
is based on a live jam session where I used that. Rest of the music is
Rob's work.

I'm not sure I'd recommend this as a practical use-case for Fluxus,
but it was a lot of fun so that's ok.

Trivia and lessons learned;
-no traditional modeling program because I don't understand those.
-a procedural texture for the robot faces worked quite well.
-avoiding state as much as possible really helps to keep stuff simple.
-a texture on a inverted sphere makes for a cheap background; build it
first, before transparent stuff, because you can't depth-sort it.
-Generally a smart order of building-drawing can beat the automated
depth-sort if you plan.
-Working accross multiple computers is not so smart because you are
bound to forget to copy textures and stuff. I wouldn't do that again.
-Linux on a MacBook Pro means no 2nd/3rd mouse button in Fluxus unless
a external mouse is used, maybe I should add a key combo using shift
or alt for that.

Yours,
Kas.
