It could be worse still; Googeling "glut shift capslock" implies that what I
was seeing is actually "proper" behaviour. The good news for me is that I
can relax and don't need to fix redacted. The bad news is that your system
is apparently exhibiting non-proper yet desirable behaviour.

ermmmm.... Shall we shake our heads and leave it at this? I'm a bit lost
here :-)
