a related question: how does fluxus fare with non-DRI acceleration
provided by the closed-source binary drivers?

for instance, i can't run DRI with my nvidia card -- does fluxus need
it to be actual DRI, or will it be happy with the enhancements
provided in the nvidia driver? it looks like that driver supports the
OpenGL extensions.
