I think this is a conflict with an older version - probably from the
$HOME/.fluxus/startup.scm, it should look like this:
http://cvs.savannah.nongnu.org/viewvc/fluxus/modules/scheme/startup.scm?root=fluxus&view=markup

ah - the problem is installing as su root maybe - as it installs to
$HOME...
