[fluxus] Slow frame rate in 64-bit Ubuntu

I'm using the fglrx driver, but I'm getting ok results on glxgears, and
DirectRendering is enabled.
2D acceleration seems to be running fine, otherwise. I'll install something
like TuxRacer as a test, methinks.
