The changes never made it into cvs but i will do that asap. I was 
thinking of also adding an app bundle target to the sconstruct to bundle 
everything up automagically.

However these changes only facilitate building a statically linked 
binary - if you just want to build from cvs and have all the 
dependencies installed (again covered on the wiki page) then it should 
just be a case of "scons"...

does that not work?
