[fluxus] audio problem

Hello, first thanks for this great software, pawfal.org is full of very
interesting software/projects, keep on the good work :)
i really hope to use it in live events once i get it to work...

i have the same problem as said before on the list : i can't get the
'audio in' to work,
the bars.scm example don't animate on sound. i have followed yours
instructions : I have tried all kinds of settings in the mixer... but
nothing work.
i just want to know if there is a way to test portaudio/fluxus to see
what happens ?

some precisions :
- i often use 'gephex' (software for live visual performance) and it can
interpret without problems the sound data which is coming from xmms
- i have a little "bug" when i run fluxus : ERROR: No such file or
directory: "/home/pierre/.fluxus.scm"
- i have the portaudio version 18.1-3
- if i add (start-audio 0 256 44100) to the script, the fluxus app
freeze and i must kill it
